When It Comes to Beef, Tulsans Choose Quality

TAHLEQUAH, OKLA.—In the midst of an economic downturn, one Tulsa retailer proves Tulsans still place a high importance on quality when it comes to their beef.

Reasor's, LLC recently celebrated its 20th year in partnership with Certified Angus Beef®, providing Northeastern Oklahoma with steakhouse quality beef at home.

Paul Roach, Reasor's vice president of meat operations, attended Certified Angus Beef LLC's annual conference to accept several awards on behalf of the company.

For the second year in a row, Reasor's 71st and Lynn Lane store in Broken Arrow, Okla., was named the Top Sales Volume Retail Store in the World, beating out 8,000 other stores vying for this top honor. This store sells 10 times more product than the average licensed store.

"It really says something about a community when a grocer with 15 stores can compete on a global scale," said Roach. "Oklahomans love their beef, and Certified Angus Beef is the best Angus available."

The chain also received the Top Retail Average Volume Per Store award. Reasor's averages five times more product sales than other retailers in this category. Other honors included Retail Advertiser of the Year and No. 2 Top Sales Volume Small Chain Retailer.

What does this mean for Tulsa?

"We have a very loyal customer base who shops in our stores because they only want to put the best quality on the dinner table, and they know they're going to find that at Reasor's," said Jeff Reasor, president and CEO. "You can’t beat the quality of flavor that Certified Angus Beef provides, and our customers really value that."

Consumers can stock up on their favorite meat items this week at Reasor's Primal Sale, which runs October 1 through 3 at all Reasor's locations. Beef is divided into sections called primal cuts. From these large areas, the meat cutter makes smaller portions suitable for individual or family-sized packing. Reasor's will custom cut all of our beef to meet all customers' needs.

Certified Angus Beef LLC hosted its annual conference Sept. 17-19 in Scottsdale, Ariz. More than 15,000 businesses partner with the brand in the United States and 45 other countries. Annual sales top $2.7 billion. The Certified Angus Beef® brand, introduced in 1978, is Angus beef at its best®. Less than 8% of beef achieves the brand's 10 benchmark standards that ensure mouthwatering flavor, juiciness and tenderness. For more information, visit www.certifiedangusbeef.com.
