TULSA, Ok. - Oklahoma Bass Pro Jason Christie of Park Hill, Oklahoma, who fishes both the FLW and Bassmaster Elite Series, is sponsored by QuarterShare Gourmet Beef Sticks. Christie will be on hand Saturday, September 7th at Reasor's in Sapulpa (W. Taft in Sapulpa) from 11:00 AM-11:30AM, in Catoosa (Hwy 66 and Apache in Catoosa) from 12:15PM-12:45PM, in Owasso (Hwy 169 and Hwy 20 in Owasso) from 2:00PM-2:30PM and in Claremore (Will Rogers Blvd. and Owalla Avenue in Claremore) from 3:00PM-3:30PM with his boat to sign autographs while the QuarterShare Gourmet Beef Stick team, based in Bixby, OK, joins Reasor's staff to sample all three flavors of their Gourmet Beef Sticks.
"My family loves the Gourmet Beef Sticks because we are active, they are healthy snacks for us and I was moved by the donations they make to food and children's charities in Oklahoma. That's why I jumped on board with them...my fans and fellow anglers like my unlimited supply of the beef sticks on tour" said Christie with a grin.
Christie's made a recent habit of winning tour-level events and the Grand Lake triumph June 9th marked his third victory of the season and catapulted him back to the No. 1 spot in the BassFan World Rankings presented by Livingston Lures.
Christie had his first Bassmaster Elite Victory at Bull Shoals Lake in Arkansas April 22nd. His winning weight was 56 pounds, 8 ounces. His Day Four bag of five largemouth Bass of 18-0 included two 4-pounders and a 5-0, the largest bass of the day.
Christie turned in a huge bag, the tournament's largest: 18 pounds, 0 ounces. He landed in the winner's seat, with his first Elite Series trophy. It came with $100,000 and his second consecutive Bassmaster Classic qualification.
Christie's leapfrog from 11th into first place at Bull Shoals Lake was the biggest Day Four comeback in Elite Series history. (Arkansas pro Kevin Short rose from sixth place to win the 2009 Mississippi River Elite event.)
He came into the Bull Shoals Quest hot off an April 14 FLW Tour win on Beaver Lake. The Elite Series title of Monday chalked up rare consecutive wins in the sport's best-known circuits, both on White River impoundments in Arkansas.
He's now finished in the Top 50 in the five Beaver Lake FLW Tour events he's fished since 2008. Christie's four-day total of 61 pounds, 8 ounces was the heaviest weight to ever win an event in FLW competition at Beaver Lake. He earned his second career FLW Tour win and moved into the Top 10 in the latest Angler of the Year standings.
New on the market, QuarterShare Gourmet Beef Sticks come in Jalapeno, Smokey Sweet and Original recipes and are created by a three-generation family smokehouse in the Midwest. "We worked hard on creating our unique recipes with our smokehouse and decided on these three after trying various recipes," said Richard Cranford Owner and CEO.
"I configured our financial paradigm to allow us to give one-quarter ("QuarterShare") of all product sold, back to non-profit groups to raise funds or to provide food for charities, "Cranford said. "Previously my philanthropy was limited to giving money to local charities and I was not exactly sure precisely what the money was used for. Today I donate our healthy beef sticks to charities for food...now I am on the frontline and that is incredibly fulfilling."
QuarterShare Gourmet Beef Sticks can be found from anyone of several fundraising groups selling year round, Reasor's and Tulsa Drillers, and in businesses throughout Tulsa who want to support local charities. "Customers love the nutritional value of QuarterShare Beef Sticks, as well as the fact that they are giving back. Each QuarterShare Gourmet Beef Stick sold at Reasor's will directly benefit the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma and stay right here in the communities we serve." Mike Naylor, Director of Specialty Foods.
QuarterShare Gourmet Beef Stick's nutritional panels boast the beef sticks are gluten free, low calorie, low fat, low sugar, no carbs, no trans-fat and no MSG. "I really believe in these beef sticks. It is one of the first beef sticks I had tasted that were seasoned right, tasted great, and was healthy," said Cranford "Those suffering from Diabetes like the Original Flavor because it has zero sugar."
"I 'm really looking forward to meeting some fans and anglers at Reasor's Stores September 7th" said Christie, "I enjoy talking with folks about fishing and spreading the word about the groups QuarterShare and I help with the donation of our healthy beef sticks."
