Reasor's Goes Pink for the Cause

It is estimated that more than 2,600 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in Oklahoma this year. You can join Reasor's in supporting local efforts to fight breast cancer through special fund-raising activities all month long in October which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Our employees will be wearing pink all month long to show our support and help raise awareness as well.

We are proud to support the Tulsa Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® by donating all of the proceeds of our special pink reusable shopping bags. The pink reusable shopping bags are available for just 99¢ each. Customers can save 6¢ off their total purchase for each reusable bag they bring in and use for bagging groceries or they can choose to donate those savings to Recycle Hope.

This is the fourth year Reasor's has gone Pink for the Cause. In 2011 the company presented a check for $24,573.50 to the Komen Tulsa Affiliate as a result of all fundraising activities. This year the goal is to top that amount.

Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure® and launched the global breast cancer movement. Today, Komen for the Cure is the world's largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures.
