Beginning May 1, Reasor's New "Bonus" Program Gives Customers FREE Groceries When They Turn Their Economic Stimulus Tax Rebate Checks into Reasor’s Gift Cards
Tahlequah, Oklahoma, April 18, 2008 – Beginning May 1, 2008, customers can receive free groceries through a gift card program available in Reasor’s stores. The program allows customers to exchange their Economic Stimulus Tax Rebate Check for a Reasor’s gift card with an extra $25, $50, $75 or $100 added to it. Gift card amounts correspond to the payment amounts outlined by the Internal Revenue Service for the federal economic stimulus program.

"The average American family makes two trips to the Grocery Store per week and spends over 4% of their yearly income on food that is prepared at home," said Jeff Reasor, Reasor’s President and Chief Executive Office. "Reasor’s program allows customers to stretch their grocery dollars further and help ease budget worries caused by poor economic conditions."
The program will be available at all Reasor’s Food Stores. Customers who are interested in exchanging their economic stimulus tax rebate check should present their check at our Customer Service Center from May 1, 2008 through July 31, 2008. The program is limited to one offer per household with a limit of $1,200.00.
Amounts that are different from those outlined above will be turned into gift cards in $300.00, $600.00, 900.00 or $1,200.00 increments with the bonus amounts added and the remainder returned to the customer. For example, if a customer has a tax stimulus rebate check of $450.00, the customer will receive a Reasor’s gift card valued at $325.00 and the remaining $150.00 will be returned to the customer.

Reasor's is a regional full-service grocery chain with 15 locations in northeastern Oklahoma. Some locations sell gas and offer in-store banking, pharmacies, video and photo departments. Reasor’s company also offers online grocery shopping services at our Tahlequah and Tulsa area stores. The company is testing Lil' Reasor's, a convenience store and gas station format, in the Tulsa area. Founded as a single store location in 1963 by Larry Reasor, today the company is run by his son Jeff Reasor.
