Mushroom Cream Sauce
    Ingredients
  • 8 ounces Mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 Clove Garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons Butter or Margarine, divided
  • 2 tablespoons Flour
  • 1/4 cup Beef Broth
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon Pepper
  • 3/4 cup Half-n-half Cream
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh Lemon Juice

    Directions
  1. Saute mushrooms and garlic in 2 tablespoons butter or margarine in skillet over medium heat until tender. Remove from pan.
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons butter or margarine in skillet; stir in flour to make a paste. Combine broth and water; slowly add to paste; simmer for 2 minutes; add seasonings.
  3. Add half-n-half and lemon juice; heat just until hot; do not boil. Serve immediatly with steak.
