Troy Bounds is owner and operator of True Livin’ Farms. It is located on 9 acres of certified organic land in Washington, OK. He has been selling produce to Oklahoma customers through farmers markets and Community Supported Agriculture programs for over the last 20 years. He studied Sustainable Agriculture at Oklahoma State University and is now trying his hand at USDA certified organic growing. “It is a little more difficult and more creative growing than what I am used to, that’s for sure.” But he is doing a great job and will be producing 2 varieties of okra, purple and green this summer along with tri-colored cherry tomatoes. He is also tending to a 100 acre watermelon farm along the river stretch outside of Purcell, OK.
