Romaine Advisory – Update – 11/26/2018

Romaine Advisory – Update – 11/26/2018

November 26, 2018, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) issued a revised food safety alert narrowing its warning to consumers: only romaine from the Central Coastal growing regions of northern and central California should not be consumed. As we have the highest safety standards for our customers, you can rest assured that we are only sourcing our romaine from growing regions the CDC has said are not linked to the issue.

In full compliance with the latest CDC and the FDA guidelines, romaine whole leaf lettuce will begin coming in to the stores this Monday, December 3rd and the bagged salads will come in shortly after that. Thank you for your patience with this matter.

Romaine Advisory – 11/20/2018

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is advising that consumers not eat any romaine lettuce, and retailers and restaurants not serve or sell any due to a multistate outbreak of E. coli infections linked to romaine lettuce.

Oklahoma is not yet one of the affected states but in an abundance of caution Reasor’s is following the CDC advisory and has removed all Romaine Lettuce and Romaine Lettuce products from our shelves.

The investigation is ongoing and until more information is available about the outbreak this will be Reasor’s position.

If you have purchased Romaine Lettuce or Romaine Lettuce containing products from Reasor’s you may return it for a full refund.
