REASOR’S DONATES OVER $270,000 TO THE COMMUNITY FOOD BANK OF EASTERN OKLAHOMA IN 2020

Throughout 2020 Reasor’s had many fundraising drives for the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.  During the year, Reasor’s raised over $270,000.  We know that 1 in 6 Oklahomans, including one if four children are considered food insecure. That’s why we want to help. From Recycle Hope, to Food 2 Families, Spring for Meals and our Perishable Pick Up Program that donates all unsalable, distressed, or close to dated food directly to the food bank, we want to make a difference in our community.

  • Food 2 Families promotion benefiting the Eastern Oklahoma Community Foodbank raised a total of $158,096.
  • Spring for Meals promotion benefiting the Eastern Oklahoma Community Foodbank raised a total of $88,887.96.
  • Recycle Hope benefitting the Eastern Oklahoma Community Foodbank raised a total of $23,054.55. Customers that bring reusable bags have the option of donating a .06 credit per bag used to the foodbank or .06 off of their grocery bill.
  • We also have a perishable pick up program in place to donate all unsalable, surplus, distressed, or close to date food directly to the Eastern Oklahoma Community Food Bank. Every week the Food Bank receives these items from our stores and delivers it to those in need in our community.

The mission of the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma is to feed the hungry of eastern Oklahoma through a network of Partner Agencies and to engage our communities in ending hunger. Our vision is food security, with dignity, for all eastern Oklahomans.  We are the largest private hunger-relief organization in eastern Oklahoma.

Located in Tulsa, the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma distributes food and other grocery items to 350 Partner Agencies in eastern Oklahoma, including food pantries, emergency shelters, soup kitchens, senior citizen centers and after-school programs. In Fiscal Year 2020, the Food Bank distributed more than 32.8 million pounds of food throughout the 24 counties of eastern Oklahoma.
